We recently blogged Tracy and Darren’s Burlington engagement photos, and now we are sharing their Royal Botanical Gardens wedding!

Tracy and Darren rented a gorgeous AirBNB where they not only got ready before the wedding, but also hung out with their close family and bridal party for a while between the ceremony and reception! This gave their guests time to explore the beautiful Royal Botanical Gardens after the wedding ceremony, and made for SUCH a fun and relaxed wedding day!

Keep scrolling to read about the wedding in Tracy and Darren’s words!

Q: What was your favorite part of wedding planning?

Tracy – dress shopping! Although my dress was the 2nd one that I tried on… I wish I had had tried more on just for the experience haha

Darren – doing it together, and being a part of it.

Q: How did you feel while getting ready on the wedding day?

Tracy – nervous about being late, I don’t think I looked at the time once that morning and I felt like I was an hour behind lol

Darren – super pumped.

Q: How did your bridal party/family help you in the beginning of the day?

Tracy – my sister and mom (and you guys too) helped fix my broken dress! Omg what a nightmare! I think my bridesmaid brittany helped at one point too. Oh man my stress was a little high in that moment.

Darren – they gave me a few beers and chilled with me

Q: How did you feel when you first saw each other during the ceremony?

Tracy – I felt so much relief, all of the stress from the morning just melted away and I knew none of it mattered because I had the love of my life right there.

Darren – All I could think of when she walked in was the song “take my breath away” it was the happiest moment of my life at the time (second happiest now, next to holding Nathaniel for the first time)

Q: How excited were you for the food at the reception and what did you eat?

Tracy – I was extremely excited, we had caesar salad, beef tenderloin and veggies, it was so good!

Darren – ohhhhhh I was looking forward to it all day.

Q: What was your favorite song that played that night?

Tracy – Our first dance a mashup of Perfect and I Cant Help Falling In Love by BTWN US
Also the last song of the night, Wagon Wheel by Old Crow Medicine Show.

Darren – our first dance song and the air guitar.

Q: What moments of your day will you never forget?

Tracy – seeing Darren’s face for the first time, getting pictures taken, relaxing in the hammock at the airbnb house once we got back, our first dance. My niece, Reese, standing in front of us staring in the middle of the ceremony was so funny. Cutting our cake with a spoon handle!!!!

Darren – the limo ride with the guys and listening to heavy metal on the way there. Tracy walking down the aisle. Dancing with Tracy’s grandma. Air guitar. Cake cutting with a spoon.

Q: What did you love about your vendors?

Tracy- Everybody was amazing, from the flowers to the cake to the reception staff and DJ and most of all our photographers were just incredible, they made our whole day so great, it was like having friends there with us capturing our day!

Q: Is there anything you would do differently?

Tracy – the only thing I would have done differently would be to just have a maid of honor and best man, I just think it would have been easier!

Darren – our thank you speech. (Tracy agrees!!!)

Q: What do you love the most about being married?

Tracy – I’m on maternity leave right now but when I’m at work having him to come home to after work is just the best feeling in the world. He is my person.

Darren – being able to call her my wife.

Q: Is your marriage now different from what you would have expected your marriage to be when you were first married?

Tracy – Yes! Only because we weren’t planning on getting pregnant so quickly! But other than that it is how I envisioned lol

Darren – our baby came sooner than expected but still so amazing.

Q: What’s something your spouse has done to make your marriage better?

Tracy – Darren is just so incredibly thoughtful, he can read me so well and knows when I need help (or a nap) and doesn’t hesitate with it. He will literally do anything to make me smile.

Darren – it’s always been fantastic.

Q: What advice would you give to a newly engaged couple?

Tracy – DATE NIGHTS, keep the romance alive!

Darren – Enjoy every day together.

P.S. We had to throw in this fun moment from the wedding! One of Darren’s groomsmen gave him this GI Joe figure during his toast, and Chris took photos of him photobombing the reception 😂
