Q: How did you meet, and what were your first impressions of each other?

A: Adri : We actually met through online dating, but our first date and actual meet up was right after hurricane Irma. We went to go on a coffee date, but every place was on a boil water effect, so we met at Barnes and Nobles for a bottled water date instead. Completely different than what we expected but it’s one of my favorite memories. 

Q: What made you two connect so well in the beginning?

A: Adri – We both felt like the other was just so easy to talk to and connect with Carlos- plus she brought me homemade cookies on our first date 

Q: Who said “I love you” first?

A: Carlos did

Q: What is your secret to a great relationship?

A: Adri – communication and honesty. From the beginning we agreed to be open and honest with each other Carlos – everything is not a one way street. It’s not just about you, you have to keep the other person in mind in everything you do. 

Q: What are the 3 best words you would use to describe each other?

A:  Adri – funny, considerate, driven/passionateCarlos – smart, determined, photographic- memory 

Q: Favorite thing to do on a date night?

A: go any restaurant where we can share a great meal, especially going to a sushi bar 

Q: When were the moments you each knew you wanted to marry each other?

A: after our first Christmas together. We both just knew at that point that we wanted to be together forever. 

Q: How did you get engaged?

A: Adri- one of our first dates was an escape room. So Carlos planned with the location to have us complete a pirate themed escape room and had them place a written scroll he made into the treasure chest. Once we finished the room and opened the chest, I read the note telling me to turn around for an even greater treasure and found him on one knee. It was absolutely perfect!

Q: What are some things on your bucket list together?

A:  Travel and eat all the things! We have a map in our room of places we’ve traveled together and we want to continue adding more to the list.
